Qiu Wu is a Ph.D. candidate
in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
at
The University of Texas at Austin. He is also a trainee
in the
Department of
Diagnostic Radiology at UT M.D. Anderson Cancer
Center(Houston,TX). He affiliates
with the inter-institutional Biomedical Engineering Department of
The University
of Texas.
He received the bachelor's degree in computer science from Hefei University
of Technology, China, in 1995. His M.S. degree, in electrical engineering (signal
processing track), was received from Southeast University, China, in 1998.
In the fall semester of 1998, he was a visiting scholar with the
School of Electrical and Information
Engineering at The University of Sydney, Australia. He had internship
with Siemens Corporate Research (Princeton, NJ) and with
Siemens Medical Solutions
USA (Malvern, PA), in the summer of 2000 and summer of 2004, respectively.
He was elected to President (2003--2004) of
the
Graduate Engineering Council at The University
of Texas at Austin. He served on Technical Program Committee
of 2006 IEEE Region 5 annual conference. He is
a recipient of a 2006
New Entrant
Stipend Award from International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.
