- Esterel is a synchronous/reactive language as is the Synchronous/Reactive
domain in Ptolemy.
Stephen Edwards has developed an Esterel compiler, which is part of
the Synopsys CoCentric System Studio product.
This product is essentially a Ptolemy-like system with a more rigorous
mixing semantics between nested state machines and dataflow.
