I am currently working as a Systems Engineer with Intel Corporation in Phoenix, AZ. I completed my Ph.D. degree in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the University of Texas at Austin in August, 2008. I am interested in understanding the computational aspects of human vision, motion estimation and its applications in video segmentation and surveillance, statistical modeling of images and video and biomedical image processing. EducationI completed my Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in August, 2008 and my dissertation was titled "Video quality assessment based on motion models". My dissertation studies the problem of perceptual quality assessment of digital images and video and I was supervised by Prof. Alan C. Bovik. I was the Assistant Director of his lab, the Laboratory for Image and Video Engineering from January, 2006 to August, 2008. I joined UT Austin in Fall 2002. I completed my Master's degree in Summer, 2004. My thesis was titled, "Steganalysis of spread spectrum watermarks using natural scene statistics" and was supervised by Prof. Al Bovik. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in May, 2002 from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum which is affiliated to the University of Kerala. I completed high school in Chennai in the Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School. |
