I am a graduate student in the Wireless Networking and Communication Group, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras.

Research

I am working towards studying the benefits and performance of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) concepts in optical systems. In particular, I am to study different signaling as well as signal processing techniques which would enable efficient MIMO communication over optical fibers. My advisor is Dr. Sriram Vishwanath.

Miscellaneous

I am a free software enthusiast, and try to contribute bits of code to several free software projects. I spend a lot of my time contributing to the Debian project, and use Debian GNU/Linux for most of my work.
