Karthik Ganesan is a graduate student in the ECE Department at The University of Texas at Austin. In Fall 2006, he joined The Laboratory for Computer Architecture, directed by Prof. Lizy K John. He received his Master of Science in Computer Engineering from UT Austin in 2008. He received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2006. He was also working as a part time research trainee in the High Performance Computer Architecture group (Vishwakarma) at the WAran Research FoundaTion .

His areas of interests are Performance Evaluation, Benchmarking and Workload Characterization and his current research focuses on synthetic benchmark generation for multicore processors.
