IBM T. J. Watson Labs - Summer 2007 :
Worked with the BlueGene Team and was involved in designing an Interface Library to access the Performance Counters of the Next Generation BlueGene/P. Also validated the working of the On-chip Performance Monitoring Unit (PMU) which is capable of monitoring more than 256 events concurrently. The work was published as 2 parts in ICPP 2008 and ISPASS 2008.
IBM Austin - Summer 2008 :
Worked with the open source Performance Inspector tool and was involved in improving the performance of a tool called itrace on the power architecture. The Performance Inspector tool can be downloaded here (Sourceforge).
