This document describes a new method to simulate the spatial covariance matrix for MIMO channel modeling to reduce simulation run time. This method is based on approximation, yielding a simple closed form solution for the correlation coefficients. Analysis and performance results are presented that show that the approximation holds for most angle spreads and the computation time is substantially reduced.
