Professor Theodore (Ted) S. Rappaport is an active teacher, researcher and entrepreneur. For his recent biography click here.

During the 2007-2008 academic year Professor Rappaport will be working on a research grant from the Mid-Atlantic Broadband Cooperative (MBC) to provide expertise and advice for last-mile wireless businesses in rural Virginia. As part of this grant he will be spending a large amount of time in southside Virginia, working with officials and citizens to help implement wireless broadband internet solutions that are the harbinger of the world's internet delivery system of the coming decades. Separate and apart from his research activities with MBC, Prof. Rappaport has been asked to serve state leaders there with the creation of a broadband roundtable.
