Radio Channel Measurements and Propagation Prediction for Wireless Communications

Research Focus

Our research group has a long and proven track record of planning, conducting, and building RF measurement equipment for state-of-the-art radio propagation measurements over a vast range of frequencies. Measurements have been made from 400 MHz through 67 GHz, ranging from narrowband signal strength data collection, to measuring and modeling building penetration loss, wide band multipath characteristics, and network throughput measurements for Wireless LAN and PAN networks. Rappaport's RF Laboratory is stocked with the equipment needed to rapidly build and deploy high quality propagation measurement systems for a wide range of physical environments.
