Wonsoo Kim is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, TX. Prior to joining UT, he was a member of the technical staff at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), Yongin, South Korea from 2003 to 2005. He received the B.S.E and M.S.E degrees in Radio Science and Engineering (RSE) from Korea University, Seoul, Korea in 2001 and 2003, respectively.
His research interests include design/implementation of high-throughput MAC (using frame aggregation and rate adaptation), cross-layer design/optimization (TCP, Network, MAC and PHY) and system implementation using software defined radio (SDR) technology.
