Biography

Ali E. Yilmaz received the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005. He was a research assistant from 1999 to 2005 and a post-doctoral research associate from 2005 to 2006 in the Center for Computational Electromagnetics at the University of Illinois. He joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in 2006, where he is currently an Associate Professor.

His current research interests include computational electromagnetics, with emphasis on fast frequency- and time-domain integral equation solvers, parallel algorithms, antenna and scattering analysis, microwave circuits, electromagnetic interference/compatibility, bioelectromagnetics, and geoelectromagnetics.
