EE382C Embedded Software Systems - Suggestions for Slides

For the literature survey briefing, each team will be allotted 5 minutes. This is only enough time for a title slide and at most 3 slides. Do not use a table of contents slide.

For the final project presentations, ten minutes will be allotted to each team:

I will strictly adhere to the allotted times.

For an 8-minute talk, you should have no more than 6 slides. Be sure that the writing on your slides is visible at a viewing distance of 50 feet (15 m).

Do not use an outline slide. The six slides should roughly be:

  1. Title slide
  2. Problem statement
  3. Your approach
  4. Your solution
  5. Evaluation of your solution
  6. Conclusion (specify the deliverable of the project).
No whining during the presentation. That is, do not make excuses for what did not work. Leave what did not work for future work.

If you plan to give a presentation on a computer, then print the talk on transparencies as a backup.
