• "Music therapy 'may help cut tinnitus noise levels'", BBC News, December 29, 2009. Proposed treatment for tinnitus (a.k.a. "ringing of the ears") alters "participants' favourite music to remove notes that match the frequency of the ringing in their ears." Good application for notch filters.
