The suggested arrangement given below lists 73 hours of engineering coursework necessary for completion of the BSEE degree. Since the BSEE requires a total of 123 hours, a transfer student who transfers the right 50 or more hours of coursework could complete the BSEE degree in two calendar years.

Notes:
** An advanced laboratory course must be taken prior to EE 464C/H/K. For computer engineering majors, the advanced laboratory is EE 345L, which is a required course in the computer engineering curriculum. Electrical engineering majors would choose from a possible list of advanced laboratory courses, which would include EE 321, EE 321K, EE 440, EE 345L, EE 345S, EE 362L, and EE 374L. Electrical engineering majors may count the advanced laboratory course as a technical area elective.
*** Since there are very few technical area courses offered during the summer, this possible schedule places them during long semesters.
Students must pass a total of three courses that meet the substantial writing component requirement. Typically, EE students take EE 333T, EE 155, and EE 464C/H/K to fulfill this requirement. Note that E 306 and E 316K do not have substantial writing components.
