Hypertext is the feature which is most crucial for navigation.
It allows navigation between points in a document or to a different document.
Hypertext links are navigated by clicking on phrases marked in color, usually blue.
So, when navigating the web you are really navigating a set of linked documents.
There is no pre-determined structure to the web and no way to predict where the links will take you.
