Prof. Alexis Kwasinski Hurricane Katrina
|
Hurricane Katrina was the first
hurricane I studied. This project was sponsored by the National Science
Foundation while I was studying my Ph.D. in the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign. Since I am basically reproducing the web page I
used to have in Illinois, the
format of this page is slightly different from that in the other
hurricane pages. The final report can be
found in here
and other related publications are mentioned in my publications
page. Other researchers involved in the project were my colleague Dr.
Weaver (now a professor at Michigan Tech), Dr. Chapman,
and
Dr.
Krein (both at Illinois). Without further due, these are some maps,
pictures and diagrams from this research and from media reports.
