           I know every one in class refers to the website for corrections in  
               the book, so with that in mind, am I correct in assuming we 
               should do 4.5 (2d) from the website?

The student is absolutely correct.  Please remember that a correction is listed 
for textbook problem 4.5 part 2(d) in the errata for the textbook ("Corrections 
to the Text Book" section of the website).  This part of the problem should be 
worked according to the problem statement given in the errata.
