    My group was looking at the problem set and we noticed that #1 (P. 87,
    #4.5) has conflicting questions.  In 4.5, #2d, one book asks us to
    interpret locations 0 and 1 as unsigned integers while another book asks
    us to interpret location 5 as an unsigned integer.  We'll do all 3
    locations for kicks but we just thought that we should point it out.

Thanks for pointing it out.  If you look at your two books, you will note 
that some of you have an old printing with errors that have been corrected.

If you will look at the Errata page that you can get to from the class page, 
you will note that the error is identified on the page, and shows that it 
was corrected in the second printing of the book.  

One of the problems with buying an old version of the book is that you don't 
get the corrections to errors that were detected after the old version was 
printed.  However, it is cheaper so I do understand.  In that case, it is 
probably doubly important to check the Errata sheet and make all the changes 
to your copy of the book early in the semester, before you forget.
