Several students have asked whether they have to clear the results of one the tic-tac-toe
 game as part of their code to help us run multiple test cases.

Short answer: No, our grading process takes care of this.

Long answer: If we had a little more time, we could have embellished the problem statement
 to ask you to play multiple games, keep track of the score, etc.  But, the semester ends
 too soon, so we decided to be satisfied with a program that plays one game.  ...and we
 will take care of the rest.

Good luck finishing it.  And, good luck with the final exam.
