	Just wanted to let you know (and all your students) that Synopsys is no longer available
	on tick. Students must be logged into sunfire or one of the sun rays to run Synopsys 
	or VCS.

	The synopsys bin path is still:
	/usr/local/packages/synopsys/sparcOS5/syn/bin

	The vcs setup is:
	VCS setup
	export VCS_HOME="/usr/local/packages/vcs"
	export LM_LICENSE_FILE="/usr/local/packages/vcs/license.dat"
	PATH=$PATH:$VCS_HOME/bin:$VCS_HOME/sun_sparc_solaris_5.5.1/bin


	If students had set up their enviroment without using the synopsys and/or vcs link or 
	if they are logged into tick they will be pointing to the old directory which was 
	on tick and for which we no longer have licenses.
