A student writes: Dr. Patt Are there going to be detailed questions, by that I mean more than just the general definition, about interrupt driven I/O? My question is based on the fact that this involves stacks which we have yet to cover. thanks <<name withheld to protect the student who is studying for the exam>> Yes, interrupt-driven I/O involves stacks. Also, it involves material in Chapter 8 that I only briefly mentioned. Therefore, it will not be covered at all on the second midterm. The fifth programming assignment will deal with interrupts, and you may see it on the final exam, but for Wednesday's exam, you need not be concerned with it. Good luck on the exam.
