A student writes: Hi Professor, I was just curious about how you want the problem sets for EE306 done. Do you care if they are handwritten or typed? I type much faster than I write, but I can certainly understand if you want them handwritten. Thanks you! Sincerely, <<name withheld to protect the student who types faster than he writes>> First, the answer to your question: Either way. Completely up to you. Second, and maybe more important, something in your email suggests that you may want to do the problem sets by yourself. That is certainly okay with me, but after teaching for more than a few years, I can tell you that if you form a study group and work the problems together so that everyone understands everything, you all will probably do better in the course than if you work alone. I understand that for many of you (myself included) working together with someone in high school was a time sink and of little benefit. You are now in college and the game has changed. You really will do better working as part of study group, IN ADDITION TO spending time working alone. Of course, as I said before, the programming assignments and exams must be your own work. Again, this is up to you. You can work alone if you wish. In either case, good luck with EE 306. Yale Patt
