	 into our program? For example if we use one of the programs in there

In EE 306 that would not be cheating.  You are free to lift any code in 
the book you find useful.   Since this is my course, I can and do give you 
permission to do this.

I should point out, however, since there could be a fine line here: If this 
course required you to write an essay, and you lifted text from a book without 
properly citing it, that would almost assuredly be considered cheating.
