A student writes, asking about the grading of program 4. I have reproduced his email and my response below. I am forwarding this to the entire class for two reasons: 1. If you feel your program 3,4,or 5 grade should be checked by hand, please send email to the appropriate TA and he will check your program by hand, and then he will talk to me, and finally he will get back to you. For program 3, Marc Kellerman, marc_kellermann@mail.utexas.edu For program 4, Arvind Chandrababu, babu@mail.utexas.edu. For program 5, Ameya Chaudhari, ameyac@mail.utexas.edu. 2. Right now, please concentrate on the final exam. The program grades will get worked out so that you are not penalized unfairly. But if you do badly on the final exam, everything else is moot. Dr. Patt, I just looked at my grade for PA4. It says I got a 20/100. I also noticed that the file says I failed every input sequence that has an (R) after it. What does this (R) mean? Because every time I test my program I get the correct output, so I'm confused as to why I failed so many tests and received such a low score. Sorry if you're not the right person to e-mail about this. Thanks, <name withheld to protect the student who thinks there is an error in grading> Of course I am the right person, or rather the person of last resort. I will forward this to the TA who is checking Program 4 grading concerns. That is Arvind Chandrababu. He will get back to you. Yale Patt
