Yes, there are problems at the end of each chapter, and yes, there is a protected manual under "instructor resources," that we have provided for other instructors teaching the course. However, if you look further, you will see on the book's homepage (www.mhhe.com/patt2) under "Student Resources" a link to "Selected Solutions(Appendix F)." You will find solutions to all of the odd-numbered problems for each chapter. It will probably be easier to attempt these problems after we discuss the concepts in class. As I said in class last Wednesday, there will be six problem sets assigned during the semester, the first five you will submit for grading. Some problems will be taken from the book. We tend to take even-numbered problems, leaving the odd-numbered problems for you to do as you wish on your own so you can check your solutions with the solutions on the web page.
