To my students in EE 306,

I promised you email with an indication of what will be covered on the exam.
The exam will test comprehensively the material of chapters 1-3.  It will also
have a short question from Chapter 4 (worth about 5 points out of the 100
points for the exam) based on what we covered in class yesterday.  There is 
no need to spend very much time on Chapter 4 for this exam.  If you got the 
gist of what we did in class yesterday, that should be sufficient.  We will
save a thorough understanding of chapter 4 for the second mid-term in
November.
