I am sure it provides a valuable addition to your college experience. However, like all extracurricular activities, it is your responsibility to figure out how to accomodate both all your class responsibilities and the demands of this additional activity. One way that students have found useful in the past is to identify another student in a discussion section who will be at the discussion session to take notes and then go over those notes with you when you get back. The focus of Friday's discussion session will be on the first programming assignment, any detailed insights regarding it, and how to test it on the Simulator/Debugger. Not a great session to miss. In addition, as always, my TAs and I have limited office hours for those who need extra help, and as you have already learned, I also respond to email. Enjoy your time in Dallas, and also enjoy successfully completing the first programming assignment on time. Yale Patt
