A student remembers me going over the RTI instruction. I don't remember me going over the RTI instruction. Just in case someone else does: > Dr. Patt, > I remember you going over the RTI instruction in class (unless I'm confusing > it with another instruction), and I have read the description in appendix A > multiple times, but I'm still having trouble grasping exactly what this > instruction does. If you have any tips or suggestions that would make this > easier to understand I would greatly appreciate it. > > Thanks, > <<name withheld to protect the student who does not need to worry about RTI>> If I mentioned RTI at all, it was only in passing. It is a very important instruction (since I allocated one of my very precious 16 opcodes), but one that is important in the context of dealing with interrupts, which we have not studied yet. So, please do not worry about RTI right now. We will have plenty of time to visit with RTI between the second midterm and the final exam. Good luck on the midterm next Wedndesday. Yale Patt
