I have gotten emails from a few students panicing over the second midterm. The sentiment is that it was harder than the first. I am still in Barcelona so I have not had a chance to look at the exams yet. I get back late Sunday. My current plan is to grade them in time to give them back to you on Wednesday in class. Since I have not seen the exams, I can not comment on your performance, but I will be happy to discuss it individually with you after you get back your exam. I am also thinking of spending some class time on Wednesday going over the exam as a way of showing you how to attack these problems. Again, our objective is to understand the material at the end of the semester. Engineering requires continually building on what you know. It is less important how much you know on November 2. Much more important what you can demonstrate on December 9. I will see you in class on Monday. Yale Patt
