My students,

I just received notification from CIS that the university-wide course
evaluation survey portal has been opened, and you all are invited to
evaluate me and whichever TAs you have interacted with.

The email said the evaluation portal is open through December 7, the last
day of classes.

Two things I think are important to say about this:

First, I want to strongly encourage you to fill out the course evaluation. 
Where there is a place for comments, please do comment.  I read every comment
and I take your comments seriously.

Second, I am actually not happy that the portal opened today and closes on
Dec 7.  I would much prefer the portal opened on Dec 7 and closed on January 2,
so you could perform the evaluation at the END of the course, after you have
been through the entire course.  But I am unable to convince the people in
charge of the evaluation, so it will be as they have dictated.  Noneless,
I hope you will do the evaluation, AND I hope you will do it at the last
minute, preferably on Dec 7!  In fact, I will remind you on Dec. 7.

Meanwhile, you have a midterm coming up on Wednesday.  Good luck on it.
