My students,

I just want to remind you of a few items.

1. As you know, our final class is Monday, December 7. I plan to talk about
various aspects of multiple threads and multiple processing elements. First
on the whiteboard with the more difficult concepts, and then (as usual) to
the power point slides which are already on the course website if you want
to look at them ahead of time.

2. We will have a review session also on Monday, December 7, starting at 7:30pm.
The format will be the same as the review sessions for the midterms.

3. Lab6 is officially due tomorrow at 5pm. However, I will not stop you from
submitting Lab6 if you wish until Wednesdsay at midnight. I am told by most
students that Lab6 is a lot easier than Labs 4 and 5, so I do encourage you to
try to get it done.

4. The recordings of all the lectures have been moved from the website to
Canvas at the request of the Administration. If you plan to use them to
study for the final exam, you should have no trouble accessing them. If you
have trouble, please let me or one of the TAs know.

5. Normally the last lecture of all my courses is a free-for-all where you
are welcome to ask me anything about anything, technical or non-technical.
I, of course, reserve the right answer with, "None of your business!" Students
seem to like that class, but I can not in good conscience do it this semester
and miss giving you the lecture on multithreading. So, based on the insistance
of some students, I have decided to have the free-for-all lecture for those who
want it AFTER the semester is over. I am planning on Monday, December 21 at
our normal class time, 5pm. Feel free to attend or not as you wish.

6. I just got email from the Course Evaluation people reminding me that you
have until midnight Monday to fill out the course evaluation form for me and
for the TAs you interacted with. If you have not done so yet, I strongly
encourage you to do so. I do read every form, most imporantly the comments,
and the comments do help me improve the course, so please do it.

7. Finally, if you do need to talk to me privately, please let me know so we
can set up a Zoom meeting.

Good luck on lab6 and on the final. ...and most importantly, please stay safe.
