My students,

I have gotten some questions about the final exam that I thought I would
share my answers with all of you.

The exam is comprehensive and will cover topics that I think are important
from lectures over the entire semester.  However, in the last lecture, I was
pretty rushed at the end so I do not feel comfortable testing you on cache
coherency and memory consistency.  These are important topics so I wanted you
to at least be exposed to them, but they will not be on the final exam. 

Also, I want to point out that we prepared a final problem set that you were
not required to turn in.  The purpose of that problem set was to help you
prepare for the final exam, so I hope you are taking it seriously.
