In case any of the rest of you are concerned, I am forwarding my answer to everyone in our class. A student writes: > Hello Dr. Patt, > > This is *********** from EE 306. I have turned in my two files for Lab 1 > already, but I realized I made a mistake in my code. I want to resubmit my > files, but when I do, Canvas adds a "-1" to my file name (For example, if > my original file name is count.bin, it becomes count-1.bin because the > original file that I've submitted is called count.bin already). Is this > going to create an issue with grading? > > Regards, > <<name withheld to protect the student who is worrying unnecessarily>> The short answer is: you can submit to Canvas as many times as you want. It will not affect your grade. If you submit your files on Canvas multiple times, then you will see a "-1", "-2", etc. added to the file names in order to keep track of the different versions. BUT, importantly, it is not something to worry about. Good luck getting the lab in by Sunday midnight, and good luck on the midterm next Wednesday. Yale Patt
