Absolutely, you can write on those handouts!  If it helps you understand the
concepts better, please write whatever you wish on those handouts.  I realize
that effectively gives you more than the 3 sheets I mentioned earlier, but
I am happy to have you do this if it helps you understand the concepts
better.
