My students, Just making sure we are all on the same page. 1. UT President Hartzell has sent email that all classes will be conducted in person, starting Monday. 2. I have obtained a larger classroom to enable social distancing for students who want it. We will be meeting in Burdine 216 at our regular time. Please leave the first two rows empty so that my lectures do not inadvertently give you the virus if I happen to pick it up. And, of course, wear a mask. 3. Some students may have good reason to be concerned about attending class in person, so I am going to continue to use Zoom as well as teach in BUR 216. If you are concerned about coming to class in person, you can continue to attend class over Zoom. I will also continue to record the lectures using Zoom, so the lectures will be available for you to review for the rest of the semester. 4. Finally, if any of you are requesting special accommodation from Students with Disabilities, I would like to know this now so I can plan properly. I am told that there is a backlog in processing these requests and issuing letters delineating the special accommodations. Please do not wait until you actually have the letter before you let me know. Please let me know now. Have a good weekend. I look forward to seeing you physically or virtually on Monday. Stay safe.
