My students in 382N.19,

Just a short note to welcome you to the graduate course in Microarchitecture.
To test if the mail alias is set correctly, and that you are included, please
send me email if you got this message.  I want to be sure we are all in synch.

Kayvan and I are still working on the website.  I hope to get it ready for you
in the next couple of days.

Also, I would like to have Kayvan conduct an optional weekly discussion
session this semester.  Attendance would not be required, but I have found
it to be extremely helpful when we have done it in the past, at least for
the first month or so of the course.  I am thinking of Thursday afternoon
at 5pm.  Please let me know whether or not that time slot is a problem
for you.

Enjoy the last few days of the semester break.  I am looking forward
to seeing you in person next week on Wedneday, January 17, at 5pm.
