My students in 382N.19,

I have put a sign-up sheet on the door of my office for the half-hour
oral exams.  I am scheduling them on Thursday and Friday of next week.
Thursday, from 4pm to 7pm and from 8pm to 10pm.  Friday, from 3pm to 6pm
and from 7pm to 9pm.  If none of these times are okay for you, please let
me know and we will schedule a satisfactory time.

You are free to study together for this exam.  In fact, a good way to prepare
for an oral exam is to find a partner and take turns being the examiner and
and asking your partner hard questions.

However, from Thursday, 4pm to Friday, 9pm, once exams are in session,
please do not communicate anything to any student in the course that could be
reasonably interpreted as giving that student an unequal advantage on the exam.
