        My students,

        The first draft of Chapter 1 of the 460N textbook is now on the course
        webpage.  Click on Handouts.  The four figures are not yet in-line, waiting
        for the student to put them in proper latex format.

        If you have any criticsm, good or bad, please share it with me.  I do plan
        on editing the chapter when I get a chance and want to make it as clear as
        I can.  Your input will help.
