[NEHGR 148: 45-60] Robert Allott (Morgan), born say 1550, was buried at Ware 21 March 1596/7. He married by 15 December 1577 (date for first childs baptism) Joan ---, who was buried at Ware 22 march 1610/11. RA's will is dated 13 February 1596/7 "Robert Allott of whytborrowe hyll in the p[ar]yshe of Ware ...." Children all baptized at Ware: Sarah, bp 15 Dec 1577; Joan, bp 28 Feb 1579/80; Elizabeth, bp 17 March 1582/3.

[NEHGR 148: 45-60] MA, the earliest know progenitor of this family, born say 1520, was burried at Ware, Hertforsdshire, 10 June 1566. Although his parentage is unknown, his will indicates tht he had sisters Margaret, Agnes and Joan. He married first, say 1545, an unkown wife who presumably died about 28 March 1558, near the time of the baptism of their second known child. He married second at Ware 22 August 1558, Alice Egerton, who survived him. He appears in the 1545 subsidy roll for Ware assessed 2d. His will is dated 17 May 1566 and was proved 19 June 1566 "Moran Allett sycke of bodie but holle of minde" requested burial in the churchyard of Ware, and named his wife Alice and children Robert and Elizabeth. Children: Robert, b c1550; Eleanore, bp 28 March 1558, Ware; by second wife: Martha, bp 10 March 1559/60, Ware; Humphrey, bp 23 january 1563/4, Ware; Elizabeth, bp 2 February 1564/5, Ware.
