[Baldwin1] One of the first settlers of Milford. Was a cooper. Was in Fairfield in 1641. Abigail joined the church at Milford 9 June 1644.

[NEHGR 25:153-6] Moved to Fairfield soon after Abigail died and married Joanna Wescoat, widow of Richard Westcoat. She died in 1682 in Fairfield.

[NEHGR 24:345-6] In Milford in 1639. Died leaving the following children: John, Daniel, Nathaniel, Abigail, Samuel, Sarah, and Deborah.

[NEHGR 26:294-303] Mentions Nathaniel as probably coming from the same family background.

[Milford 43] NB came from Co Bucks. Inventory was taken 19 October 1658. His home lot in Milford was #7 consisting of 3 acres 2 rods. He removed to Fairfield where he had lot #13 in January 1653/4. Abigail was probably the sister of William Camp.

[NEHGR 38:160-165] Will of Richard of Cholsbury, Buckinghamshire, a weaver, dated 23 May 1630, proved 16 May 1633: mentions Timothy, Nathaniel and Joseph. "... there can be little doubt that they are the three of those names who emigrated to New England, appearing at Milford in 1639."

[Baldwin1 ] RBs will dated 23 May 1630 mentions wife Isabel and sons Nathaniel, Joseph and Timothy. Has RB as the son of Henry and Ellen Baldwin.

[NEHGR 38:169-165] RB, described as of Donrigge in the parish of Aston Clinton, Co. Bucks, yeoman. Made his will 16 January 6 Edw. VI (1552-3); will was proved 21 Feb 1552-3. Wife - Ellen; Tenth son - Richard in Cholsbury. "We find there, Richard Baldwin, with whom we commence our pedigree, a substantial yeoman of the first half of the 16th century, of suffiecient means and importance to rent the manor and occupy the manor hose, and also to be able to possess at least one other farm and lease the tithes in another parish."
