[Stamford2 148-9] In Wethersfield, where a Lt but not a freeman. Original settler in Stamford in 1641 and deputy with Andrew Ward. Lt in Stamford in 1643. House is one the corner of East and South Street. He was a shoemaker.

[Wethersfield 2:93] Hinman says `an important man in the colony, a firm Puritan in form and principles'. Favorably noticed (in connection with Slosson) by Cotton Mather. Came to Wethersfield 1637-8 with Abraham Bell, their relationship not known (SWA entertained the opinion that AB was the father to FB) Inventoried estate valued at 317-12-00.
