[Boardman1] Lived in Wethersfield for the birth of all 12 children, til about 1719. He sold the home lot of 3.5 acres with house and barn, also 19 acres in Newington to elisah Williams for 135 pounds 5 October 1719. Bought 9 September 1719, 287 acres in Middletown on the east side of the Great River, now Portland and moved there shortly thereafter.

[Boardman1] House, barn and homelot (3.5 acres) bought for IB by his father 2 March 1665/6, on the west side of Main Street, Wethersfield. He remained in W. the rest of his life and his house was occupied by his son Thomas and grandson Thomas. Owned various other pieces of land in outlying areas: 5 acres in Great Meadow, 12 acres in West Swamp, etc. He also had one of the 52 acre lots in Newington distributed in 1695. Chosen a fence viewer in 1684, surveyor of highways in 1689, also sealer of weights and measures, selectman and constable. Gave his son Samuel 3.5 acres with 2.5 acres of swamp in the area of twon known as South Hill on the east side of the road near the mill.
