[5562/6650] Alexander Carpenter
[5563/6651] ?
[MF 1:49] Samuel Fuller married Agnes Carpenter, sister of Alice,
whose father was Alexander Carpenter.
[Carpenter 34, 36] AC was a Dissenter and on account of religious
persecution removed his family to Leyden. He was probably this
Alexander who stopped at Yarmouth on his return to England. After
quiet was restored he settled in Somersetshire where his wife died.
AC had Mary, Alice, Julia ?Ann, Agnes, Priscella and Bridget. He also
had a son William b 1599 who lived and died in England. This is
probably the William of CObham, known as the one to whom the Greyhound
Arms were granted in 1663.

[Carpenter 33] JC was an elder bother of John Carpenter, Town Clerk.
It was not then uncommon to have two bothers with the same name. JC
the twon clerk remembered his borther JC in his will and left him one
of two silver-gilt cups with lid which Thomas Knolle gave him, weighing
25 ounces.
[711936/851200] Richard Carpenter
[711937/851201] Christina --
[Carpenter 33] RC and his wife are buried in the church of St Martin
Outwitch, Bishopgate Street with other members of his family. There
is reason to believe that he was a citizen of London and engaged in
some kind of trade. In parliament records, there is mention of a RC
of Billiter Lane, London. In 1410, there is also a record concerning
an orphan that mentions RC, chaundeler. He inherited at least part of
his father's estate and was a chaundeler and probably a goldsmith.
both trades indicative of wealth.
