He married by 4 January 1649/50 (the date her father's will)Joan harrison, the daughter of John Harrison, yeoman, of Waltham Abbey, and his wife Agnes. joan married second at WA 3 June 1568 John Hanford, gentleman, and as Joan wife of John Hanforth she was buried in WA 14 May 1597.

Following their marriage RC and JH resided in the parish of WA, Essex. RC requested burial in the church of St Lawerence, WA. Children with order uncertain: John, b c1550; Ralph, b c1551; William, b c 1556; Agnes, b c 1560; Robert, bd at WA 28 May 1616. .in -.5i

In 1535 at Waltham Abbey, he enfeoffed humphrey Browne, serjeant at law, ... with three crofts called Burnysfields in Upshire in Waltham Abbey. which property he held jointly with Robert Snarnebrooke, .... Will is dated 26 October 1542, asked to be buried in the churchyard of St Lawrence of Waltham. Chidren: Robert, b c1520; Agnes/Annes, living 1542.
