[Savage 2:209] JF, Salem in 1637. Had first been at Saybrook with young John Winthrop. Was a carpenter. In March 1640 was inhabitant allow. of Boston; and or. co. c. 1656; yet perhaps was again of Salem. Will of January 1656 names Samuel, James, Bethia and Elizabeth. Was in the Pequot War [3 Mass Coll III.159]. Was the JF who sold lot to George Willis at Hartford.
