[Derby1] Settled in Derby in 1669 on Sentinal Hill eat of Edward Riggs residence.
[NEGHR 27:63] Listed as an inhabitant of Stratford as of 27 march 1668, but not in 1650.
[Savage 2:356] He may have been called Hardier, if he first lived at Braintree {seems unlikely - DEP}
[Stratford2 215] Jabez Harger had a houselot recorded to him in 1669 in Stratford, but in the next year he settled in Derby where he died in 1678. He is said to have been a Huguenot from Westchester NY but seems to have come to Stratford in 1662, for in that year he married Margeret, the daughter of Henry Tomlinson. During the few years he remained at Stratford he purchased a number of pieces of land at Oronoke, one of which he purchased from the Indians, on which one of his sons settled many years later.
