[NEHGR 149:173-186] He married by 4 January 1649/50 (the date her father's will)Joan harrison, the daughter of John Harrison, yeoman, of Waltham Abbey, and his wife Agnes. joan married second at WA 3 June 1568 John Hanford, gentleman, and as Joan wife of John Hanforth she was buried in WA 14 May 1597.

[NEHGR 149:173-186] JH was born say 1500 an died between 4 January 1549/50 when he made his will, and 28 April 1551 when it was proved. He married Agnes -- who married second -- Britten. They resided in Waltham Abbey, Essex. The family was probably armigerous. In 1593, JH's son William affixed to the will of his hephey Edward Goldinge a seal which may well have displayed the faily's coat of arms. Unfortunately, both signature and seal have since been cut from the original will and can no longer be identified.

JH appears to have been related in some way to William Harrison of Waltham Abbey, yeoman, who left a will dated 20 June 1596, proved 7 August 1596 which names his wife Joan sole executrix and names sons Robert, William and John Harrison, and grandsons Thomas and Robert Sparkman, sons of his daughter Magdalene.
