[Ingersol1 ?] Came to Salem in 1629 with Higginson, arriving 29 June. From Bedfordshire. In 1640, RI's family is credited with nine persons. Will dated 21 July 1644 mentions William Haynes as son-in-law. ALH married second John Knight, a merchant tailor of Newbury.

[TAG 27: 129-34] RI died after 21 July 1644, the date of his will. In his will he mentions Ann his wife, sons George, Nathaniel and John, and sons-in-law Richard Petingell and William Haines, daughers Bathsheba and Alice Walcott. The will was proved 2 January 1644/5.
