His will was proved at Guilford, where he had taken refuge with his family during the Revolution. Samuel and Bethia are buried in Southold. 10 children - David was one of twins, his brother was Jonathan.

[Southold Town Records II:83-4] Came from near Wales, County of Hertfordshire, England.
[NYGBR 28:24-26] NL started from Liverpool for Boston, tradition says aged 15. He soon found his way to Southold, where he settled. He married, about 1692-5 Hannah --, who died aged 30 years with one of here children 26 January 1701. (The printed town records call her Mary, but Liber E in MSS, the Landon Bible, and Salmon record, all call her Hannah). NL's tomestone is in Southold. 4 children, all born in Southold - Samuel is the fourth.
[NYGBR 39:130] Hannah, wife of Nathan Landon was, according to tradition at Guilford Conn, the daughter of Stephen Bishop (son of John) and his wife Tabitha (daughter of widow Parnel Wilkinson of Bermuda) The name Parnel was in frequent use in the Bishop family and among Hannah's descendents.
