[NEHGR 72:209-10] TS died between 22 September 1712, the date of his will, and 15 October 1712, when the inventory of the estate was taken (and appraised at 351-05-00). Married 2) Elizabeth --. TS was brought to NE by his parents about 1638/9, when he was about 6 years old, lived with them at Hartford until 1651, and then removed with them to Morwalk. As his mother remarried soon after his fathers death in 1655 and removed with her younger children to Farmington, and as he was the only one of the children who was of age at that time, he succeeded to his father's lands in Norwalk and lived their until his death (see NEHGR 71:111-2). Children: Hannah, Abigail, Mary, Thomas, Mercy, Matthew, Elizabeth, REbecca and John.

[NEHGR 72:209-10] RS, the first of the Seymour name in this country. Died between 29 July 1655, the date of his will, and 10 October 1655, the date of the inventory of his estate. MR married 2) as his second wife, John Steele of Farmington, who died there 17 February 1664/5. RS came to Hartford in 1639 where he appears as a proprietor. He was also one of the settlers who received land by the courtesy of the town. His home lot was on the east side of the road to the Cow Pasture (North Main St) and was bounded on the north by the pasture itself. He was one chosen chimney viewer at Hartford in 1647. He was on of the signers of the agreement for the planting of Norwalk, 19 June 1650, removed to that place soon afterwards and became one of its first settlers, being chosen a townsman or selectman in 1655. Children: Thomas, Mary, Mercy, John, Zachariah, and Richard.

[NEHGR 71:105-15] RS's marriage and the baptisms of three of his chilren are recorded in Sawbridgeworth between 1630 and 1637; but after than there are no traces of him there or in the surrounding parishes. It is probably the case that he settled his fathers affairs and left in the sprint of 1638, following Rev. Thomas Hooker.

[NEHGR 71:105-15] Only his marriage and birth of first child are recorded at Sawbridgeworth; likely he moved to a neighboring parish soon afterword and lived there for several years while the reamining children were born. He left no will and no record of the adminstration of his estate can be found. Children: Richard, Nathaniel, Sechariah, Elizabeth and Mary.

[NEHGR 71:105-15] JS of Sawbridgeworth, Co Herts; ealiest member of this line positively traced. Not know where he was born, but he lived in Sawbridgeworth from the time of his marriage. He married 1) 11 November 1560, Jone Androw, who was buried 3 October 1561 leaving no children; 2) DP who survived him. His will is dated 7 October 1605 and proved 13 November 1605. Local pronunciation of Sawbridgeworth is ``Sapsearth''. Children: Annis, Jone, Mary, Robert, John, Dorothy, Peter and William.
